It is crafted from cotton that is brushed on the face side using mechanical metal brushes that raise the fibres out of the yarn resulting in an exquisitely soft texture that has a similar touch to cashmere. This texture helps to retain the heat while still remaining breathable, improving the insulation capabilities of the cloth.
